Inauguration of ‘Legal Metrology Online Management System – 17 May 2023

Adv. G R Anil, Hon’ble Minister for Food, Civil Supplies, Consumer Affair and Legal Metrology, Government of Kerala inaugurated the online verification module of Legal Metrology Online Management System (LMOMS) Portal on 17th May 2023 in a function held at Directorate of Legal Metrology, Thiruvananthapuram in the presence of Adv. V K Prasanth, Hon’ble Member of Legislative Assembly (Vattiyoorkavu Constituency), Smt. Asha Varma K C, DDG & ASIO(NIC Kerala), Shri. P M Ali Asgar Pasha IAS, Secretary(Legal Metrology), Shri. V K Abdul Kader, Controller(Legal Metrology) along with the Officials from the Directorate and District Offices. Adv. V K Prasanth, Hon’ble Member of Legislative Assembly (Vattiyoorkavu Constituency) presided over the function. The event began with a welcome note by Secretary (Legal Metrology) followed by a report on the Department by the Controller, Legal Metrology. Hon’ble Minister emphasised the need of this Portal to simplify the current manual processes and avail the Department Services without the need for the general public in visiting the Offices and bring transparency.

The Hon’ble Minister issued the licences to the dealers which were processed through the LMOMS Portal, after his inaugural address. The team from NIC Kerala State Centre was congratulated by the Hon’ble Minister for providing the software services on time. Smt. Asha Varma K C, DDG & ASIO(NIC Kerala) summarised the modules and activities of the portal during her felicitation speech.
