The Third Zonal Workshop on eTransport ‘eTrans2023’ on 2, 3 March 2023
The Third Zonal Workshop on the eTransport Project “eTrans2023” was conducted by eTransport Central Team in collaboration with MoRTH at the Uday Samudra Leisure Beach Hotel, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala from 02nd to 03rd March 2023. The event was coordinated by NIC Kerala State Centre.
Hon’ble Minister for Road Transport, Motor Vehicles, Water Transport, Government of Kerala Adv. Antony Raju inaugurated the Workshop on 02nd March 2023 in the presence of Kerala Transport Commissioner Shri. S Sreejith IPS, Director(MoRTH) Shri. Piyush Jain, DDG & SIO Kerala Shri. Mohan Krishnan P V, DDG & HoG(eTransport) Shri. Pawan Kumar Joshi, DDG & HoD(eTransport) Shri. Joydeep Shome, ASIO/DDG & HoD(eTransport, NIC Kerala) Shri. M Asir Edwin and other Officials from different States.
The objective of the workshop was to showcase the new systems and services developed in recent years under the eParivahan platform and to increase awareness among various stakeholder departments. The event was attended by participants from 12 States / UTs namely Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Goa, Daman Diu DNH, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, A &N Islands, Lakshadweep and Kerala.
The First day of the workshop was mainly concentrated on the new initiatives in Vahan, Sarathi, eChallan and PUCC modules of eTransport Project.
Second day of the workshop was on eDAR / iRAD application and the workshop was inaugurated by Chief Secretary of Kerala Shri. Dr. V.P. Joy IAS in presence of DDG & SIO Kerala Shri. Mohan Krishnan P V, DDG & HoG(eTransport) Shri. Pawan Kumar Joshi, Transport Commissioner & ADGP Shri. S Sreejith IPS, Director MoRTH Shri. Piyush Jain, ASIO/DDG & HoD(eTransport, NIC Kerala) Shri. M Asir Edwin and other dignitaries on 03rd March 2023.
Central eTransport Team demonstrated the various features and functionalities in Vahan, Sarathi, eChallan, PUCC, eDAR/iRAD, VLT&EAS, RVSF and AFMS during the Workshop. There were discussions and brainstorming sessions with the state level officers of user departments which helped NIC to understand their views, issues and suggestions. The doubts / issues raised by the Stakeholder Departments were clarified by MoRTH and eTransport Team. The event ended with vote of thanks by ASIO/DDG & HoD(eTransport, NIC Kerala) Shri. M Asir Edwin.
