NATIONAL INFORMATICS CENTRE KERALA Integrated Financial Management System IFMS Government of Kerala
Integrated Financial Management System (IFMS) is one of the prestigious Projects of Government of Kerala undertaken by Finance Department and Treasury Department. IFMS Kerala has been designed in-line with the Modernization of Treasury Systems, which is one of the MMPs of Government of India. IFMS Platform envisages end-to-end integration of systems and IT services among various stakeholders such as Finance Department, Treasury Department, Administrative and Line Departments, Accountant General, RBI and Banks.
Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala, Shri. Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the Integrated Financial Management System (IFMS) at Symphony Hall, Mascot Hotel, Thiruvananthapuram on 23/02/2017 in the presence of Hon’ble Finance Minister of Kerala, Dr. T M Thomas Issac and Member of Legislative Assembly, Shri. K Muraleedharan. Additional Chief Secretary (Finance), Dr. K M Abraham IAS, Secretary(Finance), Shri. T Mohana Dhas SIO Kerala, Shri. Minhaj Alam IAS Secretary(Finance), Regional Director (Reserve Bank), NIC Team and other department heads participated in the inaugural function.
Shri. Pinarayi Vijayan, CM Kerala, in his inaugural address highlighted the need for measures to avoid intrusions and take necessary security measures in online Treasury Systems. Dr. Thomas Issac, Finance Minister, in his address, declared that with Core Treasury Banking, public can do any kind of transactions from anywhere in the world and informed that ATM services will also be introduced shortly.
Dr. K.M. Abraham, Additional Chief Secretary (Finance) presented a report on IFMS and highlighted the features of various components of IFMS. He also informed that IFMS site is being monitored by the Cyberdome of State Police for possible threats and penetration attemps.
Hon’ble Member of Legislative Assembly, Shri. K Muraleedharan released the newly revised Treasury Passbook & Cheque Book during the inaugural function. Regional Director (RBI) informed that Kerala was the first state to integrate e-Kuber platform for online payments.
